All of our vintage, salvaged majolica tiles are from the 18th and 19th centuries and come from Italy. 

The Majolica technique makes use of bisque which is a burnt clay with opaque glaze. In order to be vitrified, they are both fired at 980°C (1796°F).

GLZ 135 Majolica Tile and all Compas Majolica are recovered from rural estates and historic palazzos in Italy. These antique tiles have a traditional European character and are perfect for beautiful floors and backsplashes. available in countless variations, including flower patterns, geometric forms, and murals.
